Long Over Due

Piper, you will just have to forgive your mom for being a month late with this one.  It's hard to find time to blog when I'm taking care of your cutie self!

At your 2 month pediatrician's appointment, you weighed 11 lbs and 8 oz and were 23.5 inches long.  The doctor prescribed you Zantac for your acid reflux and asked us to start giving you a Vitamin D supplement.  You had your first set of vaccines (3 shots and one oral).  When the nurse stuck you, your face turned really really red and you held your breath for a second before screaming so loud...louder than you have ever screamed before!  I held you in my arms and you started to calm down.  The rest of the day you just slept!

At 2 months:

- You breastfeed every 3 hours and nap really well after most feedings.  Around 10 weeks, we started giving you a 4 oz bottle of breast milk once a day.

- When you were 6 weeks old, we moved from New Orleans, LA, back to our house in Cumming, GA.  The first night in GA, you started sleeping in your crib in your nursery...big girl!  At 10 weeks you started sleeping through the night (10:30pm-5:30am)!  You did that for a week, but then went back to waking up once at night to eat (around 3am).

-  In the mornings, you like to sit in your infant seat on the island.  You used to just watch Mr. Dragonfly, but now you have started talking to us and smiling!  Dad makes you smile the most!!

- You are starting to be awake a little more after you eat.  Most days you play on your activity mat, but you have also started to watch your mobile in your crib and you love the Baby Einstein lights and music toy!  Some days we will go for a walk in the stroller...you always fall asleep.

- You had your first Halloween!  We didn't have a costume for you, but Nana gave you a cute onesie to wear.  We carved a pumpkin and handed out candy!

- You still love your swing, bath time and being rocked by mom and dad.

Piper, we love you so much!  Each day is a new adventure!  We can't wait to see what the next month brings!
Love,
Momma and Daddas
