Couples Baby Shower

Ok, so I know that "couples" and "baby shower" aren't really things that typically go together, but we're the Reis' and we don't like to do the typical thing.  In Tennessee, I had a wonderful girly shower!  It was so much fun having all of our TN female family and friends together to help us celebrate this amazing time in our lives.  But, I will have to say that I missed Chris being there.  So, when our GA friends offered to throw us a shower here in Cumming, we wanted to have a couples baby shower where Chris and I could celebrate together.

Our friends, Trish Hutcherson, Laurin Makohon and Lauren Bray hosted the shower at Brian and Trish's home.  They decorated with pink and green (the color of our nursery), and made some delicious food!!

It was a feast!

Cake Pop party favors...yum!
Strawberry Cupcakes
A baby carriage carved from a watermelon.  It's amazing what someone can learn on YouTube!
Cutie pink onesies and our baby pictures decorated one of the rooms.
A cute pink tub full of washcloth "lollipops".
My mom drove down for the weekend, and it was so nice for her to be at the shower and meet some of our friends.
Four generations...Grams, Stephanie, Chris and I, and our baby girl
Laurin Makohon and her boyfriend Aaron
Stephanie, Grams, Chris' Aunt Sara and Aunt Susan, and his cousins Sara Adelaide and Lindsay
I had fun holding baby Ella (Shannon and Holly Tweedy's 3 month old).  She was so cute!
The guys decided to head downstairs to play pool while the girls went into the den to open presents.  I was overwhelmed with all the gifts.  They were all so cute and will definitely be useful when our little girl arrives!

Opening gifts with the proud Grandmas looking on.
Super cute booties that I wore when I was little...thanks Mom!!
I love this onesie from Stephanie!
Thanks to Trish, Laurin and Lauren for helping to make this baby shower so amazing!  And thank you to everyone who took the time to come!  It meant a lot that all of you were there!  We are so thankful that you want to share in this exciting time in our lives!
