Since Chris and I have been married, we have always tried to bring all of our questions and concerns to God. Now we're definitely not perfect, but we work on making a conscious effort to consult our creator with what's on our hearts. We have seen the benefit of presenting our requests to God, whether He answers our prayers the way that we want Him to or not. Since we've become parents, our prayers have definitely become more frequent. Obviously parenting is an unknown area for us, but through constant prayer we are gaining the confidence to raise Piper in a way that glorifies God.
As a mom, there is definitely the temptation to worry...worry about how I'm gonna get everything done, worry about Piper getting sick, worry, worry, worry. But just as satan starts to cause me to doubt and worry, God whispers His words into my ear,
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7
